Went out to a lovely country pub, about 20 miles from where I live last night, to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Had a lovely meal, and a couple of lovely pints of Directors. The building dates back to t'15th century, and has bin a pub since t'16th, open fires and loads o character. They've even got wild peacocks living there, that stroll around t'car park and gardens.

Just rode the lad’s 125 back,first bike ride in 16 months,a lovely Somerset evening across the levels and back to the holy city,wind assisted.60 seems quite fast on a 125,i’d forgotten.

My first bike was a CD175 but the same performance as a 125. Riding shitty 125s in Vietnam reminded me of the fun to be had on smaller bikes.

Get a text from my older neighbour who rides telling me he'd collected his new Guzzi - the big trailie one. So I popped round and had a nice cuppa with him complementing him on his choice.

He's a good old fella - tomorrow we're going out for a couple of hours for a ride as I've the day off work.
