We’ve had a bit of this in the UK between who specifies and who uses/wants. The RAF wanted bigger helicopters to fly (it’s run by pilots!) than the army (think Puma/Merlin) than the Army which wanted Black Hawk and more of them (all to be made by Westland now Leonardo in Yeovil anyway.)
The issue was more to do with tactical signature and how many troops are at risk in any one airframe. In the same vein the Chief of the Air Staff was spitting tacks the Air Corps got Apache because it overlapped so much with Harrier in its close support capabilities. Throw in the Navy with sonar dippers and ship to shore and the game changes again with politicians getting smooched by manufacturers for their product.

The red dot in this photo shows the approx location of the bus lane camera. It was obviously deliberately placed there because the volume of traffic coming the other way from the town centre is often very high. Therefore anyone waiting to turn right into the petrol station can sit there for ages.
Consequently vehicles pass them by momentarily entering the bus lane. And get themselves fined for being in the bus lane for 2 seconds!
The council have agreed to move the camera in January & alter the hours it's operational to just 2hrs in the morning. It used to be active 24/7

Fantastic race really exciting hope F1 carries on like this

Hamilton May feel gutted BUT if he had given his position back in lap 2 when he came off the track it could have been a deifferent race altogether
And that last lap was a straight 3.2 mile race between the two cars no DRS or other trickery and Verstappen won it - so best man won

I think as a sport and World Championship conclusion it was a total travesty. I think both drivers are prima donnas and Hamilton is strangely unsympathetic while Verstappen is the cheek of a different arse.The result of the final race of the 2021 F1 world championship has made me extremely happy!
I never normally watch F1 but I didn't wanna miss that battle
But….. when a somewhat suspicious ‘off’ eliminates a 12 second lead behind the safety car that allows a tyre change for the pursuers but not the leader together with inconvenient intermediate runners (but not all as the rules require)….. and you wind up with protests and a bad taste all round.
For me the hype has overtaken the sport and the sport has suffered. The advertising wins but the brand ultimately suffers.
I don't watch F1 very often these days, having been a big fan back in the day. Too many boring races, often won by strategists rather than outright pace and driving skill. But I watched this one due to the "winner takes all" nature of the race. I thoroughly enjoyed it precisely because it was so farcical.
It did cross my mind that the back marker could have deliberately put his car into the barrier?
But I reckon it's highly unlikely that he or his team would ever agree to such a thing.
Latifi's car has a Mercedes engine. Can't imagine they would have wanted the crash. Unless they thought the race would be completed behind the safety car.
