Escaped the Mrs and Mother in Law for new year, having been keeping the peace betwen them as they have both been behaving like bickering children the last couple of weeks. I left my 13 year old son in charge since right now he is the more sensible of the three of them.
Now for the good bit..... I am selling my old BMW F800ST as I have found a replacement.

Hopefully it comes with the original seat as well, it was made specifically for the Nightstorm. I have to say it is the most comfortable seat I've had and very sought out by other Thunderbird owners

Animals not Ducks!
Myself & Mrs DD are just back from the Welsh Wales coast for a mini break for her 50th.
The weather was incredibly kind to us. It did rain a lot, but only overnight or when we were in the car. The rest of the time is was cold but dry
You can't ask for much more than that in January, in Wales
I offered her the chance to go pretty much anywhere (Covid restrictions permitting)
But apparently the Aberystwyth/New Quay area held a special attraction from her childhood holidays? Inpired by her Dad's love of his military training in Wales.
We used the extremely under-used Ford SUV (aka my posh van)
She did the driving, due to me mysteriously buggering up my w#nking hand last week?
Even with her notoriously heavy right foot. We still managed roughly 48mpg in just under 400 miles. And nobody died
Although an overtake by an utter Cockwomble nearly changed that!
If I can find the footage from the dashcam, I'll post it. Although, I'll have to edit out Mrs DD's exuberant comments regarding the driver in question
Why the f#ck do folk blindly follow other vehicles during overtakes on blind bends? When the guy they are following is already taking a massive chance!

We encountered several 30mph limits on rural twisty bits. That would have been perfectly safe to negotiate at 50+mph. Are they designed purely to catch folk that ignore the posted limit? I think they were mainly on the A44.
