BBC News - Channel migrants: Military set to take over English Channel operations
Total eyewash - especially the line about freeing up the Home Office to revise the regulations. How little bandwidth do those w*****s have? Far better to give the Forces the job then say, ‘Look, even they can’t cope!’

No, it’s the draw of benefits, housing and, far from any consequences getting caught, a taxi ride to Slipper City. This is another fraud on the electorate to mask a total lack of political will to change the rules and make them stick. Quick and efficient deportation has to be at the top of the list for illegals. We used to have Police FORCES. Now they are a Service. The Border Force is a chuffing Bus SERVICE! The Forces face similar humiliation through the same orders from on high. Don’t even mention the compromise of the RNLI.

Because the Government does not have the balls or even the will to stop the illegals, all this will do is make the importation more efficient

IMO the only way to stop it, is to not let them land on British soil, if that means anchoring a few cruise ships in the middle of the channel so be it. Then once the ships are full, they can have a nice round the world cruise, at tax payer expense, back to Africa.

Totally agree.

I have no problem with genuine refugees escaping death or persecution - I know a lovely, hard-working guy that was studying over here when the Syrian conflict started whose brother was killed and who would be shot if he returned too. It's right to support people in that situation. And I think it right to support the citizens of Hong Kong too.

I also have no problem with controlled economic migration - attracting people with skills we need is something we need to do. But it needs to be properly managed.

But uncontrolled economic migration under the guise of asylum is wrong in so many ways.

Great News @Tallpaul let us know your destinations mate, I have had some great times in Norway I am looking at going maybe next year, I have heard a new ferry from holland to Norway is also starting soon will make a change from Denmark
Planning to stay in the lower third of Norway. Kristiansand, Bergen, Atlantic Road, Trollstigen Pass, Dalsnibba, Stegestein, Lysebotn. Abour 1500 miles round trip from Kristansand. Yes, the new ferry from Eemershaven to Kristiansand is a bonus, save about 450 miles each way. Thinking of Denmark and Sweden in 2023.............
