What have you done to your bike today....

I was out on my Bonnie tonight and I'm pleased to say that, having sorted the gear linkage all is back to it's most excellent normal performance. When I rattle around on my Bonnie's I have to say that, while the Daytona is a hell of a bike the Bonneville 790's suit me perfectly. The balance of roar, seating position even the way the engine moves it are all just perfect. I never feel the need to get the knee down on the Bonnie because, quite frankly, I can go round bends as fast as I want without having to lean her much at all. I'd have to be going over a ton in the bends, except the hairpins to feel the need to lean much. My corner of Argyll is beautiful and peaceful even on a drizzy Monday night - Forty odd miles without a car in front of or behind me. IMG_1416.JPG

I'm in the process of polishing the engine casings back up to a mirror finish as and when it's not raining as they got a bit corroded while she was sat doing nothing but I reckon she'd be a looker even if she was all rusty. Got to get my blue one back on the road too - I'm hoping to get her MOT'd for the start of July.

I'm also slowly working on painting some bodywork/tank for one of my Royal Enfield Bullets with a view to giving her an olive green, military look and that will be my winter hack. and then, after I'm done with that I'm planning to deal with my other Enfield Bullet in the hopes of getting her spic and span, with a tasty coachpainted finish for next year.
