It's £600 more that it should be.
I can see why you're livid, I reckon we all would be.
But I think you'll be better to suck it up than take it to court.
Having said that, if you can put up with dealing with To$$pot & Sons Ltd. And it's not gonna cost you anything if the claim goes pear shaped. I guess it's worth giving them a try.
Just don't expect anything even close to professional service. They may claim to be bikers, fighting this terrible injustice on your behalf. The reality is it's potentially a great earner for them.
As soon as a deal can be agreed that suits them & the insurance companies legal team. If you don't agree with what they are "advising" you to do. You'll see their true colours!

It's Carol Nash, who I took the insurance out with their legal support is Bike Assist. They only take 25% because I didn't take legal cover, so it's not like a no-win fee setup. Up to now, they've been pretty good, they've followed the usual standards, and I guess yes, time will tell when they can finally get the report off the police and witness statements.
MCE is offering TPFT for 200+- but they're renowned for being terrible - if you need to claim and my thoughts are if I don't ride her till the insurance is sorted, at least its insured, just in case something happens. And I do have a Arbetorum ride planned for the 4th September that will be a simple straight down and back ride that needs insurance.
I just hate spending over the odds

I don't think there is any harm in taking TPFT and just making sure that you, personally don't do anything daft that wrecks your bike. At least you will be insured if some numpty smashes you up or some scumbag makes off with the bike.

TBH I just chose the cheapest quote on the comparison sites.
As long as you are insured!

The telly in our lounge dropped a boll#ck yesterday. It wouldn't load up Netflix or Amazon Prime.
I tried all sorts of messing around with the various settings & discovered it wasn't due to a lack of wifi.
So armed with the conviction that it was definitely goosed & we needed a new telly. I excitedly set about finding a replacement
A particularly smart, feature laden 75" Samsung was top of my list
Then my mate suggested a factory reset of our current telly.
It worked, & he's a c#nt!
Mrs DD is delighted cos she had this quite frankly bizarre idea that the proposed replacement was too big?
But I didn't get my new telly! ☹

I allus say if you ain't tried it, don't knock it... But to be fair the list of things I have no intention of trying is getting progressively longer.
