Im venturing out to work on my bike at 0500hrs in the morning after a week of the wife ferrying me to work because of the atrocious road conditions..Thankfully we have had some rain today so I'm going to give it a whirl...Getting across the drive to the lane is my greatest challenge..If I make that the rest is a piece of piss 😉

Had to leave my bike at work today as it had completely frozen up due to the weather...
It's been covered in snow before but never completely frozen to the point I couldn't steer it or use the brakes or even move it forwards smoothly to get it into the garage at work...Left there overnight to defrost and work gave me a van to get home in..
In all fairness it was probably for the best as I never would have got the bike up our lane or onto the driveway without coming off...
Pissed me off to see my bike in that state...Especially after I had threatened to finish my shift and go home early after the weather turned bad and they promised if I stayed to the end of my shift they would put my bike in the garage where it would be safe...
Plus someone had twatted a mirror so that was upside down...
Gotta go pick it up in the morning....

I wouldn’t even bother with the bike in this weather, you’re way more of a hero than me.

Its not really very heroic at all....if I don't go work I don't get paid and I got no other source of income so I have no choice....
It is kinda great though and whilst you always know that you got a good chance of coming off in bad weather on the roads where I live you also have that, you and the bike against the elements which I absolutely love...

We've just had all our duties scrapped due to lack of passengers...Not exactly sure what is going on yet...Hit us with a notification yesterday morning but we think it means furlough for some and possibly reduced hours for the rest of us....
We also reckon redundancy his on the cards after all this bollox is over as its unlikely the public transport business will ever fully recover from the fear factor that as been created by the state...

I just informed work I can't get out the lane to return their vehicle and pick up the bike...
I did tell them but as usual people that think they are in an authority position always know better....
Wait a couple of hours and it will have all melted he said....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He's been listening to too much Greta and must think we have that global warming bollox up here...
