f*ck going to London EVER But this would worry me more.

  • Tax per mile
  • Tax on the electric for charging your EV
  • Additional "green" taxes applied to your electric bill
  • EU speed limiter technology in cars from 2022 which in the future will be able to automatically tax fine you for speeding
  • Council tax for maintaining local roads
  • All on top of the tax you have already paid on your income, that you use to then pay all the above taxes.

Cunts!!!

And don't get me started on how all this technology in vehicles will be used to restrict or deny you from travelling if you do not comply with the government agenda.

@Scrappy Don't worry about all these new fangled taxes etc....... You know what's coming?
Yep the Apocalypse of course so chill, enjoy the ride and let the future take care of it's own business. 😁

As for London, Saddiq Khan't and all that I don't give a flying feck myself. In almost forty nine and a half years of life I have been in London exactly three times, working as concert security, and I literally got off the coach, worked the gig, got back on the coach and we got the hell out of Dodge and the last time I did that was around 1995. London to me is a horrible overcrowded place that I have no desire to go to again for any reason ever.

I share a similar opinion of London, I had to work there for a few weeks in the mid 80's. I thought it was a dirty place full of ignorant arseholes, and my opinion has only lowered since. I had an eye opening experience working in various schools around London in the early 2000's, it was horrendous

As a motorcycle courier in London before the days of satnav, I had to use an A-Z.
Obviously that meant stopping the bike, & studying the map.
Not always safe to do so & time consuming.
So once I was a mile or so from my destination. I figured the logical solution was to ask the drivers of black cabs whilst they were stopped at traffic lights etc.

That's when I discovered that in general, they hate motorcycle couriers! 😳
Some were ok (but shocked that I was asking)
Others were openly hostile 😏

That'll definitely happen Scrappy.
The government like to bang on about the environment & climate change. But they'll still need a way of replacing the lost revenue from the enormous tax currently on petrol/diesel.
Saving the planet will play second fiddle to money! 😏

Electricity already is taxed twice, VAT and the green energy tax that is supposed to be for financing investment in renewable sources.

I also forgot the VAT that you pay on the vehicle when you purchase it initially.

And it's nothing to do with saving the planet, because climate change is a load of bollocks, a worse scam than Covid

Further to the above post, when the UK is unable to produce enough energy to satisfy demand due to having too great a reliance on renewables, the government will most likely increase taxes on electricity substantially to "encourage" consumers to use less, with the result that if you are rich you can consume and do what you like, but if you are poor you will have to make choices between heat, light, entertainment and travel.
