Not been around for a couple of weeks. The mrs was diagnosed with cancer that has spread into her bones so been having radiotherapy for that while they decide what to treat the primary breast cancer with.

On top of that my father in law died on Thursday so been trying to deal with all that too. The outlaws live 2.5 hours away from us so 5+ hours a day in the car isn’t really an option.

Fuck all help from social services to help with my mother in law. District nurses are unhelpful. When my father in law passed away an idiot doctor calls my 85 year old mother in law at 0400hrs to tell her that her husband has died and if she wants to see a bereavement councillor she can call them after 0900. What kind of insensitive twat does that?

I am somewhere between sad, speechless and incandescent about the behaviour of politicians and NHS staff in propping up a self serving monolith that consumes resources but provides pretty dire routine care. There are plenty of great individuals but they get ground down by a bureaucratic system that has, in large measure, been penetrated by pharmaceutical interests for purely commercial ends. Between Javid, Johnson and the idiot Jonathan Ashworth I couldn’t select a worse crew to steer anything in the right direction right now.
I genuinely think it’s got to go and that the Dutch have the least worst system that actually delivers.

The police gonna have fully trained motorbike mechanics with them at checkpoints to pull over bikers and thoroughly inspect each bike...
I can see they could ban the sale of mods that would eventually kill things off...

However I know for a fact it would end badly for everyone involved if a copper pulled and tried to do me for having a slightly modified bike...

It’s worse than that…… petrol is currently about 59% tax and 41% cost of production, refining, storage, delivery plus profit. So when the wholesale price goes up 4p a litre HMG actually collects an extra 6p in tax…..
