1000's of Northamptonshire lads died in that war. Most of whom were white lads.

Looks like that page of bbc news has been taken down and rightly so to. My grand father joined the army in 1908 His regiment was brought back from India early 1914 and sent to France where he fought till the end of the war. He was wounded twice and spent the last part of 1916 early 1917 back here recovering from his wounds then back to france he rejoined his regiment and they finaly got there horses back to chase the and engage the Germans in late summer 1918. I don't remember my grand father I was only 4 when he died but I do have his pocket watch my grandmother gave him when he went back to France in early 1917.

I can't access the secure version on my andriod devices (phone and kindle tablet)

I suggest a new thread where folk can post about the difficulties they are having with the forum.
It should have sections where they can give info about whether they can't get on via a PC/Mac, Android/iPhone, via wifi/4G & whether the forum runs ridiculously slow etc etc.

The folk complaining aren't imagining it Judd. The forum has a bug or three & we need to work out how to remove it.

A good suggestion. Any progress?

My simple observation (being an IT simpleton) is that all my issues are on the up to date iPad with 14.7.1 loaded but my iPhone 6 running iOS 12 19hundredand frozentodeath is unaffected. Something mismatched in the updates?

I’ve got iOS 15 on both devices and they act differently

While I haven't been having problems accessing the site I have had various problems and oddities online as has my wife. I wonder if, perhaps, there is a wider problem with the internet. I know there have been a few large solar storms lately that could certainly have affected the network.
