Talent and industry are where you find them. I make no excuses for anyone but religion and culture play their part as does social class. India is itself hugely diverse so blanket descriptions cover nationality and not much else. The populations that came here from the Indian subcontinent are equally diverse with far more poor Muslim farmers from the Indus Valley than their more aspirational middle class Hindus and Sikhs from India. It shows. They don’t live next door to one another here either….

Bit late to the party on this one but I suspect it went to a jury trial is because whatever the result there is no precedence set in law. If it went to bench trial and the same decision was made then it would mean anyone could go around ripping down controversial monuments lawfullyAfter reading that, I can see why it was a jury trial. I wouldn't mind betting that was deliberate as it offered an opportunity for the result they got.
