What's Boiling Your Pi$$ Today?

Another example of their agenda that is totally at odds with logic, science, and the claimed objective

Exactly!

I'll have been veggie for 40 years this coming Dec, and I'm happy to have been - but this pushing of manufactured 'meat' alternatives is unnecessary and wasteful.

It's trying to create a 'market' that they can profit from, when the easiest way not to eat meat is to to cook vegetarian meals - there are no shortage of recipes from around the world ffs!

Yes, there is nothing wrong with eating natural produce being a vegetarian... well almost nothing ;) However the meat free agenda is again all about ownership, profit and control, as artificial processed foods and lab grown meats etc can be patented and owned. My disdain and disgust is because of all the lies and deception that is being pushed.

These are my opinions of the meat free agenda, based on limited knowledge and hopefully some common sense
  • It is not better for the environment
  • It will not reduce climate change
  • It is not healthier, if you eat a balanced diet already, in fact the processed shit being pushed is unhealthy.
  • It will require more agricultural land, and more intensive farming.
  • It will reduce the bio-diversity of our environment, huge mono crops, which will have an impact on our wildlife.
  • Increasing evidence is showing that vegetable oils are harmful (except olive oil).
  • Grains and carbs are possibly more responsible for increased obesity and diabetes.
  • Evidence suggests that soy is harmful to men... soy boys!
  • Processed meat free foods obviously require a lot of processing consuming a lot of power, requiring manufacturing plants, storage, packaging, transport, etc, etc.

Where as IMO the real environmentally friendly way to produce food is old fashioned locally based farming.
  • A cow mainly just requires a field with grass/hay, which it magically turns into milk day after day, year after year, until it magically then produces beef.
  • The milk can be consumed, and is very nourishing. It can also be simply turned into butter and cheese, both healthy foods.
  • Meat is one of the most nutrient dense foods we have, to gain the same amounts of nutrients from plant based foods requires comparatively huge volumes of plants.
  • Whilst the cow is consuming grass the cow is also fertilizing the land it is feeding from. If cows are sheltered in barns over night or during the winter, then they produce fertilizer for use on other fields and crops.
  • When a cow is slaughtered nearly every part of the cow can be used, meat for food, bones for food and other by products, even the blood can be used, the skin used for leather and the production of clothing, shoes, furniture, etc.
  • A cow can magically create other cows, for more food, fertilizer, clothing, etc
  • A cows produce can be sold and used within the local area where they were raised requiring very little transport.
  • Rotating crops and livestock on fields helps to keep the land healthy, requiring less artificial intervention therefore less use of power and chemicals.
  • Animal fats are good for you, and increasing evidence shows that consuming grass fed animal fats protects your body reducing your risk of heart disease and other ailments.
If we farmed like we used to, selling produce locally that would have a far more positive impact on the environment. No shipping foods around the world, using huge amounts of power, producing huge amounts of pollution. We have the crazy situation where we ship grain to the EU to have it processed and then import it back into the UK again afterwards, or we sell beef around the world which could be sold locally and then import beef from the other side of the world... lunacy!!

Don't forget as well @Scrappy that grass is one of the most abundant, easily grown plants in the world and the only plant I believe that continuously grows from the root up meaning that it can be 'cropped' over and over again without killing the plant and the only animals that can process it are the ruminants (cows, sheep etc.) that we can then use as a part of the food chain.

I do not have a problem with people who choose to be vegan or vegetarian that is their choice and theirs alone but I do not feel the need to be vegan myself and, in fact, I do not believe personally that it would be good for me, that's my opinion and my choice. What I do find odd is that there are a lot of people who see humanity as somehow apart from the rest of the world and not a part of the machine and so they believe we have no right to be part of the food chain. Every single thing in the world needs to kill something else to thrive unless you get right down to the very, very bottom of the food chain and it's between the individual and their conscience what organisms they choose to devour as long as it is, of course a legally allowed 'foodstuff' which means that Cannibalism is not acceptable in most places.

On another note I was reading an article today about a new genetic study that suggests that evolution may not be nearly the random process it has always been assumed to be and the organism they have been studying is a plant which appears to be able to protect areas of it's DNA from mutation thereby keeping it's good and successful genes from risk of change. I rather suspect that plants are no less living creatures than animals and so vegetarianism is simply choosing to kill and eat something that you can convince yourself is less aware of it's death and so doesn't hurt your conscience as much.

I saw something recently which showed that plants communicate with each other, even cross species, exchanging information/notifications of threats and changes in their environment.

Indeed plants in the Nightshade family seem to be particularly 'communicative' including Tomato, Potato, Chilli, Aubergine and Tobacco plants. They have studied them quite extensively and find that, if an insect pest starts nibbling one plant it sends out a message to other nearby plants to warn them of the threat. They apparently reach out roots and intertwine them with other plants and send the signals via this root to root contact. Probably more of a 'community' spirit and nature than most animals including humans.

I see that, after that fellow attacked the Eric Gill created statue at the BBC all of a sudden organisations are looking into the future of statues they have and the fonts they use that were created by him. The man revealed in his own diaries that he had not only shagged his sistsers but also his daughters and even his feckin' dog but, as far as the 'artistic' community was concerned, up 'til now when his crimes have been publicised this made him a 'sexual adventurer' rather than a sick deviant who should have been strung up and had actually increased the perceived value of artworks by him.

And the BBC is adorned with a number of the perverts pieces of work, not just the statue... speaks volumes about the BBC in my opinion

You just gotta love this 'forecast' from the Met Office.
Apparently they are predicting the outcome of the 'Global Climate Crisis' whatever that is as, in all honesty, the climate in my neck of the woods at least seems no more extreme than it has ever been and I haven't heard of anything elsewhere that is truly 'new' compared to weather patterns and extremes throughout the last few centuries.

This 'Forecast' of course comes from the same complete arseholes, fudgepackers and wankers who couldn't predict a single feckin' days weather correctly for my neck of the woods for the last six months or so! Christ they predicted 'Snowmageddon', 'Ice Bombs', 'Thundersnow' and everything else and what we got was a few minutes of snow one day and two days where the temperature fell below zero. Somehow I don't think I would trust any report from this bunch of wankstains!

Having read through the last couple days posts, there are now several other things boiling away in my mind….however, onwards and….well, onwards.

I got a notification on my hand me down apple device thing for a new Macbeth film, made in 2021, by Apple TV. Starring Denzel Washington as Macbeth!

Okay, he’s a good enough actor an all, but? Diversity I agree with, but I think really they should leave historical films alone.

I’d watch it and comment, who knows, it may be epic, but I refuse to pay for Apple TV!

And on the subject of new films….why are they all now just shite? Are directors afraid of making films with decent plot, and sensible endings that keep you entertained and make you think “that was a good film’ rather than “there’s 2 hours of my life I won’t get back.”

Also, was going to watch that Craig Charles thing on alien conspiracies, I think I lasted 5 minutes before switching it off. Nothing to do with the content as such, just the constant flashing images, if I had epilepsy I think I would have passed out! Shame really, was looking forward to watching a program about aliens without all the usual US to hype. Oh well. Back to the axe and the wood pile…..

My Mrs has been fighting with her mum over silly stuff because they are each dealing with their own issues.

Three days ago MiL went into hospital because she called me in the middle of the night struggling a little with breathing, and one of the pressure sores on her leg had burst. The paramedics dressed her leg and sorted the district nurses to come around and check it the following day. She called me again at 5am in more distress and confusion so I talked her through pressing the button on her care line pendant and getting help back out to her (we are 2 1/2 hours drive away).

My Mrs sadly had the attitude of “serves her right for not doing what I told her.”.

Angela passed away yesterday. The hospital made the right decision not to make every effort to resuscitate her, because the dementia was taking over combined with other ill health.

What is boiling my piss is that my Mrs is has gone from “If she thinks I am running down to see her she can fuck off” to “What a wonderful life she had!”. During chats with the MiL she had been asking me how I managed to stay with my Mrs (her own daughter) and stay sane!
