Bad timing for sure Don, I hope you are a quick healer.
One of my riding mates crashed into a wall during a game of squash on Christmas eve. He reported to A&E with two left wrists. After 3 attempts to straighten it all out, they sent him home strapped up and told him to come back in a fortnight after the swelling had subsided. The next attempts were successful and again he was sent home for it all to settle before an operation for a pin or plate. They opened him up and decided that a plate was best. 4 weeks later, with severe pain and loss of joint mobility he was back for a scan where they told him that there was a gap between the bones and the plaster was to stay on another 6 weeks. Plaster came off yesterday and all seems ok, except that they want him back in to remove the plate. He told them he'd be back at the end of riding season............
