I am currently waiting on a call. A buddy of mine is out in Ukraine at the moment and I have volunteered myself and my van to drive medical supplies out there, and pick up a rifle if needs be.

Up to you how you feel but I had a first hand account of a guy yesterday heading to the border with his family and he and his wife were shot by Russian forces. They stood by while he bled out and Ukrainian forces drove the Russians off - his wife is now under care, their daughter is unhurt. Now, you can make all the fuckoffs you like - but I am heading out in the next week or so to give aid.

"Today" I am well pissed off with myself that is, I have spent all morning in A&E it started with a builder coming over early to look at a small job on the roof, as we stepped back I missed the edge of the paving and went down like a sack of shit me one way my left ankle the other, my mate takes me to A&E with a foot like a Hobbits and so hot you could cook an egg on it and after checks it's fractured, so having it sorted and on crutches it's pissed me off good and proper, worse still is I have to go back middle of April so I will not be able to get down south for our meet up, sorry lads for any inconvenience I know that those who can make it will still do so.
Start of spring is upon us and I will not be riding my bike for a wee while and with my left foot braced up I will not be doing any driving either, all these years without a scratch and a simple misjudged step and Im out of order "Shit"

The constant bombardment that has started against eating meat

There is no real scientific data that supports the argument that eating meat is bad for you, in fact there is increasing evidence that eating a more meat and animal fat based diet is vastly more healthy, and that eating a more plant/carb/grain based diet is potentially very bad for you. Also IMO the argument that eating meat is bad for the environment and requires more intensive farming is bollox, especially if people are more reliant on a plant based diet which really will require a massive amount more of intensive farming, more processing, more transport, more packaging, more chemical fertilizers, etc.

It seems to me to be a deliberate attempt to make people more unhealthy, less able to sustain themselves, and to increase the value of land, potentially taking private land ownership away from all but the rich

Well there is also a lot of environmental evidence against increasing crop production which makes me wonder why it's being pushed. Apparently growing rice produces massive amounts of methane into the atmosphere.

Given the devastation of Ukraine as well that's a large part of the world's cereal crops up the swannee for the year.

Firstly @GaleForceEight I was involved indirectly with AZOV battalion years back and even met up with Ukraine lads and knew all about the troubles there with Russia way before it recently became popular...
Ukraine as had my support for a long time and back in the day I was offered weapons training and all sorts but was branded by authority here as a racist nazi and watched by CTU for even associating with the people you are now off to help out...
Secondly I wasn't saying the Ukrainian people that are indigenous Ukrainian can fuck off..They have my full sympathy and I say give them all the support they need..Although had myself or anyone I knew said that only a few years ago or even six months ago I or you will have been totally vilified for doing so....

It's took ages for my leg to heal up...it gets frustrating as fuck and still don't feel right now..
At least I can put my leg down now when I come to a stop on the bike without feeling like the legs gonna snap and I'm gonna topple over...
