They are a bloody hoot @chas folks online warned me not to 'thrash' it but I can't help myself and so far it hasn't missed a beat and seems to be enjoying it. It rattles bangs and roars, does the conga when sitting at idle at the lights and going round a corner at forty on it is more fun than going around the same corner at 140 on a Superbike. In short it is brilliant fun.

I am loving the fact too that the popularity of the new 350's, probably helped a great deal by the cost of living situation and looming winter, seems to be sending the price of the 'Iron barrel' models into free fall. When I first started looking three grand plus was normal with even rusty old nails going for over two grand but now they aren't selling at all and prices are dropping rapidly so hopefully there will be cheap spares donors on the market in the not too distant future.

I get where you're coming from, there was a lovely quote in some article I read back in the days of paper. It was a guy recounting trying to get a ton out of his Velocette, wrapped over the tank, one hand on the fork leg, on the local by pass. A Bristol came past him with the driver casually smoking a fag and the wife doing her lippy. "The car had more speed but I was travelling faster". It's the experience, not the numbers.

I do agree that they seem to be popular bikes @half ton I just bought myself another Iron Barrel after flogging some of the family silver and it cost me two grand in mint low miles nick with a couple of tasteful mods done. The bike had been taken in by a dealer in Mitcham in p/Ex for a new 350. The price of the oldies is falling and a lot of it seems to be due to Enfield fans trading in or trying to sell so they can buy. Personally I'm loving the old one that I've got. It's loud as feck (the sound reminds me of those wee dumper trucks that were on every building site back in the seventies and eighties (are they still around as I haven't seen one in donkey's years), it vibrates like a pneumatic drill, drinks oil and will only do an estimated (speedo goes mental over sixty or so) eighty or so mph and has skinny wee tyres but it is really fun for some odd reason. Just went out for a wee blast this afteroon to check that my tail light assembly would behave itself and really enjoyed throwing it around. Hanging out of the saddle at seventy going around the bends like I was at the TT in 1950. At one point I freaked because I was crouched down over the tank going flat out around a bend when Police came the other way then I realised that 'flat out' wasn't exactly that far over the limit! :ROFLMAO:

When the reviews said the new 350's were way smoother than the old one's that put me right off them as I wanted them to sound like an old Lewis gun and loosen my fillings.

Is the 'Importer' for Royal Enfield these days not actually part of Royal Enfield themselves? I did read somewhere recently that a chap had the camshaft on his 650 interceptor snap and Royal Enfield were trying their damndest to avoid having to fix it under warranty. That ain't good if one of the main reasons for buying new is to get the Warranty. Give me old bangers any day.

Gratuitous shot of the Bullet while I was out today showing off my homemade tailtidy. This spot where the photo was taken by the way was apparently where some chap called Barry was killed off in something called Eastenders in 2004. There is a sticker on the black and white bollard stating this fact. If anyone is passing and wishes to pay their respects to this fellow it's a passing place just as you crest the first hill on the road leading from the Rest and Be Thankful to the village of Lochgoilhead (My village).
It's MotoGB Marty, They can be a right pain the the rear if you need to contact/complain...They are importers for a few of the Oriental offerings as well. I must admit I would quite like to add an Iron Barrell or the Trials rep like Dons got to my stable..My Brother has sorted a Trials replica for a chap got the works on it 610cc with a Billet long stroke crank, big valves,Power Commander etc etc, He put hot cams in it but after running it on the dyno they took em out as it lost a shit load of torque, I think it now has over 40bhp and more torque than a 650 Interceptor 😁 The owner loves it.

Yeah Hitchcock's claim that their 612cc big bore kit can take your bullet, with a fairing on it, to over 40bhp and a verified 120mph but at something like three grand for the kit I would buy a Daytona 955i for the high speed stuff, which is probably feckin' terrifying on a Bullet anyway, and just enjoyed the capabilities of the Bullet as is. I would like a Trials style one as I still harbour dreams of going off road and 'all terrain' even if it's all owned by the Forest Nazi's and patrolled by their Hiking, running, Cycling volunteer Nazi chums.

Britain our Britain,........I think
It was all because of an India V Pakistan cricket match.

It proves three things to me Don...
1) They consider themselves more Indian or Pakistani. Than they do British.
2) The Police are useless & too worried about upsetting "the community". Rather than treating them exactly the same as they would if they were white British.
3) The MSM have an agenda & it's no longer a hidden agenda.
That long running street battle/riot would have been front page news if the rioters weren't from a protected group.

After it's been ongoing for days with virtually no national media coverage.
It would appear that this afternoon it's reached such proportions it can no longer be ignored. Not even by the BBC!

Well ain't that just feckin' typical! I have bought a black and gold Bullet 500 which I was planning to either turn into an army style bike or get a nice chrome and blue tank and matching sidepanels for 50's gentlemanly style machine and the 'army' look was in the lead. Now I really would have liked to buy a ready made Army style one. They do exist but the only one I've seen for sale in the UK was one I showed on here that was in rough and rusty condition and so I decided that I would probably have to buy a standard one and then gradually fork out oodles of cash, as and when I have it spare, to buy the parts from Hitchcocks to do my own conversion and it would probably be close to a couple of grand in parts and plenty of hassle dismanlting the machine and getting the frame painted to match the bodywork and painting the crank cases and side covers too to match. Well I decided as a decent black bullet came out at a very reasonable price to bite the bullet if you pardon the pun. Wouldn't you know that, true to Sod's Law, before I have even managed to take delivery of the new machine an immaculate, very low mileage (less than a thousand), army model comes up for sale! Goddamn it someone up there is having a larf at my expense!

🦆I've drank all my Kraken.. Most of my Jamesons and it looks like I'm gonna have to crack open my emergency bottle of lambs navy rum...
In order to try and make it last longer I'm gonna jack the jag up and remove the engine under tray and see if this third lot of so called jaguar engine tray screws and shit fit...
If they don't I'm gonna practice my axe throwing and drinking skills at something or somebody cos I can....🦆

This guy speaks100% factual truths as always...

I used to be very well connected and know shit loads about the Muslims in Leicester and the rivalry that exists between Muslims and everyone else..Usually it will centre around the Muslims targeting and grooming Sikh girls..The Sikhs however had the courage to stand and fight the fuckers..
In this case its Hindus but I would not be suprised in the slightest if something similar as happened in this case and as usual to cover up or distract everyone from whats really going on the Muslims fall back on seventh century tactics and modern day hate crime laws to get away with the most appalling acts..
The police turn a blind eye because they are intricately involved...Any good copper tries to do anything and they are drummed out or stuck in a mundane post where they are unable to rock the boat or ask awkward questions...
That's why my mate quit Leicester police...
Leicester is a shit hole...
Nuke it..
Twice..
My kids live there so nuke it three times just in case they are still commie bastard liberals...
Fuck em all...
I need another Jamesons 😕

It looks like one of the 10yr versions. If so, Duck needs to get his landlady to purchase a new one. Cos I'm 90% sure that the batteries can't be changed.

Some fire services used to install and replace them for free, don't know if they still do or if they do up in Ducks neck of the woods
