I am increasingly convinced that the idea that Mankind has anything to do with 'Global Warming' is utter bullshit and I find it quite incredible that supposedly well educated, experts, can't see all the inconsistencies. Even that report would 'suggest' that this patch had never melted before in three hundred years but, further down the article, it states that it has melted away a number of times in the last century and where they claim it had never melted before then? Well I reckon people in the 1600's, 1700's and 1800's had much better things to do than keep an eye on a wee patch of snow. I am praying we get ourselves a 'mini ice-age' soon to really put the mockers on the bastards and their false claims.
Oh on the subject of 'man-made' climate change apparently in the days when Hannibal crossed the Alps I bet most people have an image of him fighting through blizzards of snow on his elephant well apparently there was no ice and snow at that time in that area because of 'global warming' long before the Industrial revolution and a programme I was watching a while back that claimed that, and the Veggie's should check this out, Rice growing releases more methane into the air and uses more water resources pound for pound than cattle farming. The programme wasn't even about climate change so it, at least on the surface anyway, didn't appear to have any axe to grind and was merely stating facts.
