In my experience the Police are essentially fucking useless. I have had a number of run ins with them over the years, as an innocent party, and they have been stroppy, discourteous, quick to jump to conclusions, ignorant (thoroughly lacking intelligence) and, sadly on a number of occasions, very obviously corrupt. If you want justice you are probably better going to see some gangland nutjob for help. I once witnessed a local Copper up a side street off the town's main street getting a BJ from a local prostitute/junkie in the middle of the day while mouthing off at passers by (it was a regular shortcut) to mind their own business. Utter scumbag and everyone knew it but, for whatever reason, he was teflon.

Gotta agree with you there @Big Sandy and it ain't just parts sellers. I was looking to buy some Coach Enamel and a company that does it, called Paragon Paints was recommended. They advertise Free Delivery on orders except to Postcodes like mine where it's twenty quid no matter how large or small the item or price. By contrast I just bought a load of paints from Craftmaster who do Coach enamels, Steam Engine, Barge, vintage car paints and signwriting enamels and, over two hundred quid they are free shipping even to me in the back of beyond. I also use a company called Jacksonsart for art materials and they are free shipping on orders over a hundred quid to me. Now both these good companies I buy from use couriers and can give free shipping while selling at very reasonable prices so the only conclusion I can draw is that the other guys who charge a fortune are rip-off merchants. Whenever I come across anyone trying to do a 'Dick Turpin' for postage I dump 'em and go find someone better and, once they are on my shitlist I won't ever be buying from them. It's the only way to teach the robbin' bastards a lesson.

It's a regular thing with a lot of company's today, either don't post to scottish Highlands or postcode lottery, I refuse to buy from them "sod it" and there is a good chance it goes missing especially if those scrotes Herpes are involved. there are a few good companys that deliver the goods and I will use them sod the rest

I used to buy LR parts from Paddocks, but they recently altered their delivery charges. Used to be, spend £50 free shipping, otherwise £5. now for everybody else, that's how it is, but for me if it's less than £50 it's £18.99, over £50 its £12. On top of that, size restrictions apply.

So, they lost a heavy spending customer. Fukkem.

And another thing, due to an error on their part, HMRC owe me £1,450 refund which I applied for in August, but their vice like grip is unbreakable
Correct me if I'm wrong, but if they owe you money, and you had to tell them, they owe you a percentage more.

Happened to me too, I had to tell them they owed me money, and I got about £98 more than they owed as compensation

I bet they don't do it any more!

That's a surprise - always found that HMRC were one part of gov that worked, both for asking for money and returning it when appropriate when my tax affairs were more complex.

Guess everything has been cut back too far.

Wankers, I don't believe that this is anything to do with road safety, but purely revenue generation. Unmarked vans to prosecute after the event, instead of being visible and slowing potential speeding

No doubt it will be adopted by other areas of the country too.

About 6 or 8 years ago North wales police ( anti motorcycle money making wankers division ) were caught and photographed by a car driver using a land rover and a horse box with a small hole cut out of the rear tailgate , by all accounts a judge ruled this as unlawful and most people who were done on that stretch of road on that day had their fines and points written off , tawts !!!!

If only these excuses for Police could put their minds to solving actual crimes and serving the communities they are inhabiting .. can't say patrolling as they do feck all patrolling. Rose coloured specs time.. I remember when a local copper was respected and thought well of by the local community , Now I find it very hard to keep my thoughts to myself when I see one, Most of them are just out of nappies and have no clue about real policing....and the rest look like shifty arsed bastids that are dodgier than the crims they should be catching.
A sad old world we live in.

The government are going after Baroness Mone's PPE company. All very well, but what about the" Track and Trace" scam runners?

Yes the PPE was a scandal, but a drop in the ocean compared with the £350 to £450 billion that was spent in total. There would have been many snouts feeding in that trough, and its us and our children, possibly grandchildren too, that are going to be made to pay for it
