A bike is part of my identity. I was without a bike for five years before buying the Trip. I'd had maybe the odd month beforehand since 17 of not having a bike. I found it really hard.

I must admit that the whole 'you can't draw pictures of/make fun of Mohammed etc.' thing appeals to my contrary nature and raises in me a desire to draw such pictures and stick them all over the country to see just how much piss it can start boiling amongst the more recent inhabitants of our land. People fall for those scams because of sheer greed and naivety. I recall many years ago a miner from Fife was robbed of all his redundancy money, which was somewhere north of a hundred and fifty grand if I recall correctly, when he was suckered by one of these scams and I must admit that my uncharitable side came straight out with "If you had that in the bank and were stupid enough to risk it all to get more you deserve everything that came your way you greedy bastard".
