Of course you wouldn’t have been speeding in the Jaaaag would you. Just wafting along at a leisurely pace
I was in a bus with my foot hard on the brakes trying to keep my speed at 30mph with passengers on..Its a bastard of a steep hill with a notorious junction there where cars pull out and people just can't stop in time..I learned today that the camera van is actually there as a preventative measure for biker's as it's a bit of a motorcycle accident black spot..Bike's come down the hill way to fast and come a right cropper at the junction with the Italian restaurant opposite...
Only problem with that is us poor bus drivers with crappie old buses automatic gearboxes and shitty brakes struggle a bit holding it all together there and because we are aware of the dangers there we are too busy looking at what everyone else is up to and don't tend to notice we have gone a few miles per hour over thirty...
Its shit and lots of drivers get nabbed at that exact same spot where the road dips sharply just before the bottom...

Still think its about revenue rather than safety...

Never had a speeding ticket in my life and the Jaaaaag is a heavy cruiser slow and steady...Not a destroyer built for speed...

Well I've trawled youtube and managed to winde myself up so I thought I know I'm gonna look at some hot babes bikes and guns on tumblr...Tumblr is a scary place..Your only ever a couple of clicks away from what I would consider to be inappropriate..
The thing is why is this allowed when we now know from recent events in the world of social media they can shut shit down just like that...

Cor blimey chief...Everything pisses me off...

However I was looking into getting rid of the triumph online..I've been completely honest about the bike and its history with me and I was made an offer which seemed to good to be true..That offer as just dropped considerably and as come with a stipulation of pending inspection..
I could see it dropping even more to a point where I give them three minutes to leave the property then i see them as trespassers with aggravated intent..That means I release the German shepherds and I go mental...
Selling a bike is fraught with potentially volatile and harmful possibilities 🤨

Selling anything gets on my wick. I am most definitely not a natural salesman so I couldn't believe my luck when the dealer who came to buy my bike didn't even really look her over, I actually pointed out to him how I had carefully washed down the wheel rims to make sure they were rust free and had checked the bike all over to make sure it was in pristine nick but just logged onto his bank account, paid the agreed figure into my bank account, took the paperwork and bike and headed off into the wide blue yonder. Definitely the best experience of selling anything to a dealer I have ever had.

The big surprise though was that I got the kind of price I was prepared to take for a private sale. I had prepared myself to take four and a half thousand for the bike so, when he led off with 'would you take four thousand eight hundred' I thought that he was going to turn up and then find faults to knock a few hundred off. I was pleasantly surprised as, whenever I have sold stuff in the past getting the price I wanted was like pulling teeth.

I sold my original 990 Superduke to a dealer, I had a similar experience to you mate, they offered a couple of hundred below asking, turned up a quick look over the bike & paperwork, transferred the money then loaded up his van & gone, I guess sometimes they either really want that model or already have someone lined up for it.

Having just sold the Triumph privately, I can confirm dealing with people that are dead keen on the phone, make an appointment then don't show or message an hour before saying they changed their mind are a real PITA!
But it sold in the end, the first actual viewer in the flesh bought it, the guy was over the moon when I offered to deliver it for fuel money as well, it's nice to be nice eh?

Similar experience I had when I sold my Bobber, a bit of haggling on the phone until they offered the money I wanted. They turned up the next day, did a very quick visual inspection "wow it's like new", and a start up. Then completed paperwork, transferred the money and loaded on to the van. It could not have been much more simple or easy.
