Lucky at the weekend as away at a family wedding - warning light in car had came on earlier in the week so had a full tank.

However, hotel we were staying in is part of Stansted services so the queues to get in were horrendous. Then cab to wedding was delayed. Coming back the cab dropped us behind the services and showed us a path through the trees in the dark to our hotel!

Still got enough to cover work this week I reckon, a bit in both bikes and a splash in the can for the lawn mower.

I expect everything will be fine again within a few days as folks who don't drive anywhere, but who filled their tanks won't be visiting garages any time soon again!

Between the scum media and the fuckwit public, I despair sometimes!!

I'm coming to the conclusion that we need one of those wartime laws about spreading panic to keep our so-called journos in check - and I am generally very, very anti-censorship.

The nice new windscreen I had fitted just over a week ago? It rained today. Pissed straight in. Straight into the fuse box....

Now I have all 4 indicators on (like the hazard relay is stuck on) and even pulling fuses won't shut them off.

Getting another new screen under warranty tomorrow. Not sure what happens with the electrical fault it caused though, but I'm damned if I should be paying to sort it. I can't find the fault myself 😕 well, yet.

Could manage nicely without this just now, on top of everything else. Just seems I get one thing sorted, and something else kicks me back on my arse again.

Would you like one of my 50 x 25ltr jerry cans of diesel?
I filled them up in Buxton yesterday 🤗

Can't you get diesel from work? I assume they have diesel tanks on site.
If your boss has the choice between letting you purchase 5 gallons of fuel. Or being a driver down. You might get lucky?
I've asked they said fuel is available at different garages so fill up after work...
So I asked if they had reserved me diesel to be collected roughly 14hrs later..
Fuel is available now is all they would say..
You can't go and get any but because its available it's your own fault you dont have any...come Thursday I will not be going work but searching for diesel and petrol...
Not company policy to sell diesel...

So now I'm no better than the other twats..
Whilst I was there you got a bloke filling up a big bloody oil drum in the back of is van and I thought what a dick head.. 🦆

Chas, unnecessary. The fuel thing will resolve quick enough. People have emptied ground tanks into vehicles and any other available receptacle. Once they are full the ground tanks will re-fill and the nonsense will be over. It’s fundamentally self limiting. Just hope nobody incinerates themselves to drive the point home.

If it hadn't taken me twice as long to get into work this morning due to queues to filling stations blocking the A2 in three places I may have been more objective earlier 😉
At present I'm less charitable than you, my schadenfreude would be nicely warmed by a shed full of jerry cans blazing away.
