So what frivolous things have you bought lately? Why?

Why oh why can't you feckers play with jigsaws and Airfix Kits and grow old gracefully.........someones gonna get hurt and don't come running to me when you do (quote from my dear old Mum) 😁

I tried growing old gracefully, for a while, but fuck its boring and there ain't much graceful about me anyway. So I now vow be a disgrace and an embarrassment to my kids, and have fun doing so 😜

Could not put it better myself @Scrappy, I am and have always been the embarrasment to all my family and I am too old or have the desire to change now.
I have a family wedding next month and I have been told that there will be a mixture of all ethnic groups and a awfull lot of liberal, woke, and easily offended types, so if my speech does not offend [which it will] I have a ace new beach shirt for the evening party that will raise a few eyebrows [fook em]

I always used to care too much about what others thought, now I just think fuck em, because most other people are twats (the honourable company of this forum being the exception).

My son I think is often embarassed by me, but my daughter not so much, it was her that sent me the link to Raven Forge https://ravenforge.com/ after she had brought herself a set of throwing axes πŸ˜‚

That shirt is fantastic @Don the Don, well played (y)

I’m going to introduce that idea to my daughters(y)

Although personally I prefer war hammers:)

If anyone is interested in this sort of weaponry for decorative purposesπŸ˜— I can recommend SouthernSwords they have a good website and supply reenactment quality arms and armour(y)

Jeez ain't you lot learnt anything from the 'youf'? Don't waste your money on fancy schmancy swords and 'war' hammers. Buy cheap disposable hammers (the claw type and brick hammers are particularly useful and I'd personally go for fibreglass shafts), Kitchen knives and Machete's if you want bladed weapons. For 'claymore' type effect a long piece of flat bar with an edge ground onto it will do the job.

You do seem exceptionally well educated on this topic Marty

Been past this shop a few times but never been in . they have a cracking medieval shop in York as well , i dont live more than about 12 miles from the village of Corwen , there is a shop on the little industrial estate called Soldier of Fortune that do WW1 & WW2 reenactment pieces , replica guns and uniforms from all sides , mad as feck , always fancied going to a rough shoot and getting a Bren gun out of the car just to see what reaction i get

I've got a couple more pics but the resolution of my new Sony means the file sizes are too big to load up on here and I'm a bit lazy to make a lo-res version... Will load some to Flikr at some point and put up a link.

They had several Templar swords and models that look the business. As well as the usual movie replicas from Braveheart, Robin Hood, GoT and the like. Well worth a look if you're ever passing Conwy, and the cafe next door is built into one of the town wall gatehouse and has excellent filter coffee and cake, cough, @half ton ...
