IMO its fake, at about 7 seconds you can see the dog is not controlling the pedal but yet the beat continues, the dog is simply resting its paw on the pedal which is being operated elsewhere.
Google seems to think Maple is the real deal Scrappy.

Absolutely superb & highly recommend!

Caught the last half hour of that. One of those performers who I like as a personality but am ambivalent about their music (people as diverse as Guy Garvey and Michael Buble are in that group).Just watched the Adele documentary "From 19 to 30" on CH5.
