Whilst I think of it. Is it your turn to drive us all to The Rainbow club this Friday? If so, this time please remember that we need a lift home as well. No coping off with hairy blokes with handlebar moustaches! And leaving us to get a taxi 😏

In hindsight, maybe I should have PM'd you about that? 🤔 😉

I've never heard of the Squirrel nut zippers.

My musical tastes were formed listening to Peel as a kid so I've become a fan of radio as a source of something new since Peel.
It rarely happens now, my ears are tired and dulled but if I even get a *hint* of the excitement of hearing 'Teenage Kicks' for the very first time, it's worthwhile. I can trot out all the old git cliches about 'show me something outrageous and I'll show you Iggy, Fee Waybil, Jonny Thunders et al' but I do live in hope it's still out there.

I'm frequently disappointed in my search but once you stop looking, you atrophy.

This is how I see it in terms of why it's seen as un-cool to like his tracks....

1) He was in a boy band.
2) Only teenage girls & rampant homosexuals like boy bands.
3) His potential was never fully realised in Take That.
4) He left that manufactured band & proved that he can sing & he's a natural born entertainer.
