The military calculus is seldom so simple. There is always a risk of ‘going too soon’ for an aggressor who is building up their forces and technologically coming from behind. As for the Aleutians etc., it’s really just mirroring what we have done for centuries. I wouldn’t see any particular significance in it; a changing pattern, possibly.

Well that's my prediction for the start of it @Old Nick of course I may be wrong but it definitely looks to me like things are starting to ramp up for the start of the Apocalypse. Of course the world at large don't seem to have the same powers of prediction and are carrying on bringing the chess pieces into place for the big event.

Well don’t underestimate the difficulty of achieving strategic surprise (they never stop threatening!) crossing the Formosa Strait without air superiority (local & time limited) when Normandy was achieved with air supremacy (total and enduring) . The coastline and mountainous terrain also favours defence. With two US carrier groups normally just over the horizon an invader could potentially be creating a ‘target rich environment’. Failure could destroy the CCP itself.

I see that Belarus are, with support from Russia, winding up Poland, Lithuania and Latvia by helping migrants over their borders. Clearly designed to take the piss out of the EU and Nato. The USA has now apparently sent a hypersonic missile unit to Germany. Things are shaping up very nicely for the Apocalypse meanwhile in Britain the National Portrait Gallery is currently working hard on collecting together portraits of anyone who may even have known about slavery and locking them away where they can't scare the pathetic spineless modern inhabitants of Britain.

As a nation that mainly comprises the same 'race', China is unlikely to risk such a strategy I would have thought as anything that focusses on their own characteristics will have a field day, whereas something that targeted say 'blue eyes' would still leave lots of westerners standing.

But if they could target a genetic marker that only appeared in Europeans, then boom, they could wipe out most of the population of Europe and the other countries that Eupopeans colonised i.e. the USA 🤔

The Chinese will go for a 'conventional' approach. Biological weapons are far too difficult to control. The Chinese, Russians and North Koreans are all rapidly lining themselves up into a unified Communist front and they have drawn the Turks, Afghani's and Pakistani's in as 'junior partners'. The Turks, Afghani's and Pakistani's don't seem to realise that they are merely 'tools' to the Red menace who will themselves be crushed underfoot once they are no longer useful.

But what marker would that be?

And as there is more diversity in Europe than China, they wouldn't get the same impact as if we targeted them using genetic weapons.

I'm only hypothesising of course, but that would seem to be the case to me.

Well it depends on what you understand by ‘war’ and ‘conventional’. Chinese doctrine sees all forms of economic and political subversion as preliminary to outright hostilities and, if sufficiently successful, to obviate the need to ‘go hot’. Sun Tzu “the supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting.”
