What’s made you happy for a change

After Dad died in December, it is looking like probate is close to being granted. It’s been a long haul, and we have just spent a few days sorting out his furniture and clearing the house in preparation to sell it. We have a buyer lined up so it won’t need to go onto the market.
I cooked a roast dinner for my sisters, niece, and great nephew, and laid an extra place for dad. My sisters saw it and burst into tears (both happy and sad). It is the last time Dad’s house will be fully functioning (with us there) so we celebrated Dad.

I know that gulp. We can’t enjoy immortality but we do live on in memory. Touching.

Well I am moderately happy as I got the Insurance renewal in for my Blue and Silver Bonnie which was quoted at £158 for the year. Phoned Triumph Insurance up to see if I could add it to the multi bike policy I negotiated in July for my Daytona and my other Bonnie which had already saved me a hundred quid over the quotes for those two individually. Asked for a quote to add the Bonnie and my yellow Sprint RS as I've decided that I might as well put her through her MOT and use her 'as is' while I work on re-finishing the bodywork from my scrapped black Sprint RS. The price for adding both of them to the multi-bike policy came in at £108! So, as well as a reduction of fifty quid against the quote for the Bonnie I got the Sprint added for free.

It's funny as, all in the four are costing me around £450 fully comp for a year with one years NCB where, back in 2000 I had to pay five hundred and fifty quid to insure my GSX750ES for TPFT with several years NCB when all four of them individually are worth more than that was not to mention that the Daytona has almost twice the power and the Sprint is fifty percent more powerful.

Generally speaking, I don't subscribe to the idea that Banksy is a god among artists. Some of his thought provoking stuff is very good. But I don't think that everything he's ever done is beyond criticism, & must be preserved.

However, I love this 🙂

No idea if he's named it but my suggestion is..."2021, laying back & drinking in all the shit"...

Personally I ain't a Banksy fan. I think most of his stuff ain't even clever. He usually just takes a pun or a political comment and turns it into some 'heartwrenching' or allegedly meaningful grafitti. Having said that, if he wants to come around and spray something on my house I won't mind as I can take it off and flog it to some mug for silly money.

Sit on a bag of frozen peas without your pants on. It'll help with the swelling, but please don't post photos of the before or after 😳

Congratulations on finding a way to make the insurance more palatable 🙂
