A guy I know from UK who kind of invited himself out to Malta with me has gone home today, so I have peace and quiet for a bit. He has been dragging me out to bars and such oblivious to that fact that while he is on holiday I have shit to do. He can be a bit loud - telling everyone in earshot that ‘He’s from London’ before being a bit rude. I reined in the worst of his excesses, but still was going back to the locals and apologising ‘So sorry - he’s from London and doesn’t know any better’! On the up side (unrelated) I now have a tenant who is paying €800 per month for the house here with the provision that I can still use my house too!
