Now fundamentally, and despite their faults, I've always believed in the concept of trade unions, but as my lot have revealed themselves to no longer be willing to support members accused of a 'thought crime' by their employers, I was wondering about an alternative. Basically, I want to have access to an employment lawyer when I need one.

Now they are not a 'union', they are basically a provider of employment lawyer insurance.

They are also £200 cheaper than my current lot.

Couldn't find anything against them on the interweb so have sent off my application form :)

I've nowhere under cover for the bike so was going to shell out on a dome type cover soon when the weather really turns (still might) but I've just been offered free storage in the lockup my mate Tiff has just rented. Win.

My rent will be sorting the carbs on the Z650. Texas import so it's not enjoying starting. I'm guessing that it's set to California emissions regs and lean as fuck. I've a sneaky feeling I've jets that will suit in the toolbox but I think all that it needs is just the carbs set to UK spec

It's not been messed with at all, bar a 4-1 it's all original, even down to the engine case screws. Still on points ignition so there's not a lot of previous visitors messing to diagnose. Full airbox still there so it's all factory bar the twin disc front which may have even been a factory option at the time (I've a dim recall it was).
tiff put new plugs in it but just replaced what came out, I think they're the wrong heat range for UK spec.
I'll do some homework but I reckon it's an easy tweak.

Apart from getting the carbs off with a standard airbox. I think that's the main reason pod filters were so popular back in the day 😁
