Now fundamentally, and despite their faults, I've always believed in the concept of trade unions, but as my lot have revealed themselves to no longer be willing to support members accused of a 'thought crime' by their employers, I was wondering about an alternative. Basically, I want to have access to an employment lawyer when I need one.

Now they are not a 'union', they are basically a provider of employment lawyer insurance.

They are also £200 cheaper than my current lot.

Couldn't find anything against them on the interweb so have sent off my application form

Now my union unite is a poncey left wing do fuck all for anyone unless they are obliged to because of political correctness..
I use them only as a buffer zone until I can get proper independent legal advice which will usually cost about £150 - £200 and as always meant I got the company by the bollox and everytime the company as backed down like the wormy little faggits they are and cried like girls saying please don't do that Mr Duck we didn't mean it..

I've nowhere under cover for the bike so was going to shell out on a dome type cover soon when the weather really turns (still might) but I've just been offered free storage in the lockup my mate Tiff has just rented. Win.

My rent will be sorting the carbs on the Z650. Texas import so it's not enjoying starting. I'm guessing that it's set to California emissions regs and lean as fuck. I've a sneaky feeling I've jets that will suit in the toolbox but I think all that it needs is just the carbs set to UK spec

I must admit that I'm one sick puppy but I had a moment of happiness tonight reading that the chef behind 'the world's healthiest meal' has died of a heart attack at 45 years old. I wonder if folks will still be following his healthy vegan recipe's now.

My ex Father-in-law was mega fit. He was in the commonwealth power lifting team for a few years. His idea of a big drink was 2 cans of Fosters. And he observed an extremely healthy diet.
Yet he has had two heart attacks & bowel cancer. He pulled though & he's still doing ok. Possibly because of his level of fitness?

But I still prefer the..."Do what makes you happy & live with the consequences"... approach to life

Your lifespan is a mix of genetics, luck and self inflicted injury! Quantity is no guarantee of quality.

I am personally convinced that as we had millennia evolving as hunter gatherers before we took up farming that that is closest to our dietary ideal. However, before going overboard on the paleo diet just remember you were doing well to make 40.

We aren’t designed to do much more than get our own offspring up to breeding age I.e. about 15 so that’s 30-40 for us . It’s no accident hospitals are full of old people with chronic conditions and in failing health. The one thing we get wrong in the West is excessive carbs be they sugar, alcohol, bread, biscuits or chips. Before farming you simply couldn’t assemble that much on your plate.

You might as well die happy.

Sadiq Khan seems to have had a funny turn yesterday too. Innumerable athletes with heart trouble and clogs popped following ‘short illnesses’. Like Plod I don’t believe in coincidences. I do think some people have been paid to stay quiet. How’s our former Danish footie star that was never jabbed (when everybody else was to travel)? Makes Djokovic seem likeable and sensible!
