Binman sacked for kicking a snowman. Three things boil my piss about this, obviously the first is the fact the guy got sacked for kicking a snowman FFS! - Secondly the reporting of it - Clearly the snowman is not in the front garden of anyones property, but looks to be in a shared parking area or surrounding path, so you could argue it was an obstruction, all the other snow has melted so the fucking thing would have only lasted a few more hours anyway. Thirdly, the petty mindedness of the imbeciles that reported the "incident"... FFS!

Perhaps the chap should have been paying more attention to his job, but to sack him, depriving him of an income is ridiculous in the extreme!
Some years ago we were having a bit of a barney with the management at the place I was working. They had decided that because the engineers worked longer hours than them and therefore were in the car park first, they didn't like walking through the cold to the main door so they 'allocated' car parking spaces with themselves next to the door.

One of the women working in the offices who wasn't even full time staff was whining about having to walk to her car in the dark and wanted a space close to the main door.
Her: "What if I get attacked and raped!?"
Jim: "Only if you are very lucky because the guy is blind!"

Now, when an engineer had a wheel stolen from his car while it was parked in his allocated space, he went to management and asked them to sort it, and they said to ask the airport because the car park was not their responsibility.

Not their responsibility = they can't tell people where they can and can't park. Management didn't see it the same way and started issuing dictats when people were parking in 'their' spaces.

Back on topic..... I was running the night shift and the lads were so narked off with the bullshit. Our shift started after the management went home so they parked where they liked - but if they stayed late in the morning because we had a pressure job on the management were bitching again about it; when it snowed they built a six foot tall snow-penis in the managing director's car parking space with a big pair of bollocks at the base. It was a Friday night.

By Monday when the MD pitched up, all the snow had melted APART FROM the snow phallus. :) He wanted the culprit hunted down for a sacking, so in the shift leader meeting I said it could have been local kids, but as he had upset pretty much EVERYONE with the car parking thing, so it could have been anyone over the weekend.

The Scottish media have been an abject failure when it comes to holding Government to account. You would struggle to find mention of all the evidence pointing to Sturgeon & co trying to put a stake through Salmond’s heart to prevent a comeback. It poison’s day to day business but, best of all, has ignited civil war in the SNP.
That affidavit is worth a read. The judges are considering their verdict on his contempt charge but the genie isn’t going back in the bottle.

The engine bars for my bike arrived today.
Here's an example of the print quality of the instructions...

First written instruction =..."Remove original screws behind the headlight. Apply Inox clamp in position A using bolts item number 2 & the original nuts in position B (see fig 1)"...

Hopefully it'll become a lot more clear when I'm looking at the bike 🥴

Heathen!
They'll look cool as f#ck outside Starbucks! 🤗
Part of you *knows* once they're bolted on at the expense of half a day you'll have to convince yourself you like them rather than spend another day taking them off.

Save yerself the bother.

You'll likely only lose 20% of the price and you won't be able to afford the burger van.

It's a win all round.

He was agency staff, not directly employed. Looked like a hard worker and a weak kicker to be fair. Should have had that over in one kick. Besides, if he did that to my snowman, he would be in the back of the waste truck, no questions asked.
If the snowman ain't complaining I don't see what the fuss is about...
I'd have had my day in court and if the snowman didn't turn up to testify against me a good solicitor would have got me off....

Three high profile accusers on that list they shake hands with one hand and have a dagger behind their back with the other, I agree with what you say SB but it still requires the great unwashed to see them for what they are before May elections.

The SNP followers are a bunch of blinkered assholes who don't even know their history. I told one t'other day on that Facebook thing that I was a Briton and lived in lands (argyll) that have belonged to Briton's and not Scots since time immemorial. She was adamant that that just could not be. I explained to her that, if you study the 'Gaelic' place names, mountain names etc. around my area of Argyll you will find that where I live marks where the Britons' had their border with the invading Scots from Ireland. There is a big rock on the mountainside above the village that, in the Gaelic is called 'The Stone of the Britons' and, if you study the names to the West of that stone they are typically Irish Gaelic where, if you study the names to the North, South and East of that stone they are more akin to P-Gaelic (what we nowadays call Welsh). Names like Aberdeen, Comrie, Crieff, Loch Lomond and, particularly Dumbarton (which means the Fortress of the Britons) all belong to the ancient Britons and not the immigrant Scots and I concluded by saying that, as I knew that more than three quarters of my DNA goes way back in the lands of the Ancient Britons with a little coming from the Northern Irish lands of the Scots I was a Briton first and a Scot second as are the vast majority of 'Scots' if they would but research their history and stop with the petty hatred and slave mentality to their brothers south of the wall. Strangely she never replied to me after that. They never do!
