I'm so tempted to send that to a good mate who's Scottish & lives in Ayrshire.
And entitle it..."This was written by another Scottish mate of mine"...
Trouble is, all it would achieve is another row. He's the polar opposite of yourself Marty. Infact he's everything you described in terms of an SNP supporter.
I've repeatedly asked him to give me some good reasons for Scottish independence. His lame answers always boil down to blind patriotism.
That's it mate, simple blind patriotism with zero substance. What a way to decide the future of a country! 🙄
However, he & others like him will not be happy until they have their wish granted. Then once they have independence, they'll have to find someone else to blame for their less than perfect lives.
Most of them have never heard of Adam Smith or David Hume and think the Scottish Enlightenment is a Division of F2605E2C-EF60-4640-8E0A-C71BAC21B8A9.jpegF2605E2C-EF60-4640-8E0A-C71BAC21B8A9.jpeg

Binman sacked for kicking a snowman. Three things boil my piss about this, obviously the first is the fact the guy got sacked for kicking a snowman FFS! - Secondly the reporting of it - Clearly the snowman is not in the front garden of anyones property, but looks to be in a shared parking area or surrounding path, so you could argue it was an obstruction, all the other snow has melted so the fucking thing would have only lasted a few more hours anyway. Thirdly, the petty mindedness of the imbeciles that reported the "incident"... FFS!

Perhaps the chap should have been paying more attention to his job, but to sack him, depriving him of an income is ridiculous in the extreme!

Got to watch everything you do these days because there is always some miserable bastard looking for something to get their name in the papers with and make themselves 'famous'. I doubt that the worker was sacked by the agency he will just be moved on somewhere else but they have to be seen to be doing something to let the petty complainers think they have won.

Well if I was said Bin Man I think Sophie Taylor would be getting a giant Richard 3rd posted through her door with an invite to build a brown snowperson. ;)
