Pride and fixables damaged, not you - that's the main thing.

Were any edibles involved? My similar tales of recent years involved cherries and an abandoned burger - both made it slippery when I put my foot down and led to the drop.

From what I can see the damage is; front and back brake levers both bent, very small dent in exhaust header pipe, heated grip wires pulled out, big bruise on left shin, and pulled right calf muscle. Looks like I got off lightly, with no damage to paint/plastics.

What I can't figure is how I've bruised my left leg when the bike went down on the right , did my right calf muscle trying to save it I think

I've got no recollection of what happened to me, if I hit deck or not, all I can remember is the bike starting to go and me thinking "please no", then "oh fuck! ".

A nice chap stopped on his bike, helped me pick mine up and tried to make sure everything was ok

If it has to happen, then yes this is a light one.

I can't blame anyone but myself, I'd just left home only travelled about a couple of miles. I'd stopped to turn right and then when clear went to pull away and stalled it, but the bike had forward momentum and committed to the turn with no power

As with others just glad there is no lasting damage to pride or Joy! Give her shapely calves a nice warm bath and be grateful it wasn't worse. There's a lesson in there about getting a grip..... and gluing it fast. My first adhesive didn't hold my heated grips onto the chrome either....

You'll never unsee that dented header and it will remind you that no speed can be as awkward as too much!
