Don't attempt to shoot anything smaller than a cow. Ideally a really big one! 😉

What rifle have you got Duck? Would it be worth sticking a budget scope on it?

Until someone shoots a consistent group you can’t chase a decent zero because the zero will itself keep moving. You need to first adjust the shooter, then the rifle. The sights don’t need adjusting..... you adjust the rifle to the sighting plane. If you can’t see the target at 55 feet you should be disarmed!!

It's nothing special...break barrel spring loaded air rifle 22 smk something or another...
I didn't go out my way to buy it and didn't really want it but it gives me something to do now and then...I've been looking at cheap scopes and mounts on ebay today...
I would like another air rifle or even crossbow but they are so expensive now...
Went local gun shop about a year ago and his cheapest second hand rifle was £400

I can see it...I just can't see it in detail 😕
Plus the forward sight is bent...

I have a beautiful Parker Hale Phoenix you could purchase now that you're wedged up Duck 🙂
I'd have to hand the money over to Mrs DD's uncle though. As although he gave it to me. I said if I ever sold it, I'd give him the money.
It's a mint condition under-lever, multi shot. With a scope & a moderator. The air bottle lives hidden away in the stock. So to all intents and purposes it looks like a carbine length sniper rifle. It's very "you" but apparently it's worth about £800? 😳

LOL most of my air rifles are worth between 600 and 1000. a couple a bit more. I used to shoot competitively back in the day at a national level. I entered the world field target championships using my hunter rig and ranging the targets with the mk1 eyeball instead of using a rangefinding scope with a massive objective lens! I came 177th overall. My Mrs did well too 234th.

I've got an SMK springer with a cheap telescopic as well duck,at 10yds and 15yds I can group 5 shots under a 10p piece,At 20yds it opens up a little then at 25 yds it is starting to get close to your target photo. I have been told it could be because it has a cheaply made barrel from CHINA, My next rifle will hopefully be a gas ram break barrel..apparently a lot quieter than a springer and more accurate

I would like something better but for the half hour I spend having a little play now and then to calm me down I can't justify silly money...
I'm looking at cheap scopes on Ebay and am bidding on an smk one I think may fit on my rifle..
Hopefully that will improve my aim...
I used to have a daystate harrier when they first came out..Now that was a rifle with a great scope...
