There were a few other good clarinettists too like Pee Wee Russell, Artie Shaw, Johnny Dodds, Sidney Bechet, Woody Herman to name a few but they did all play Jazz I have to say. I seem to have it in the back of my mind that Phil Silvers played a mean clarinet when the mood took him too.
