Last Film You Watched

Big Sandy

Well the last film I watched, because the wife wanted to, was the re-make, or should I say murder of, Blithe Spirit. What an utter pile of shite they turned it into.
Didn't they just.

Watched Sandra Buttocks in "The Unforgivable" Was okay... Didnt end how I expected.

Not much violence or such, but it was watchable.

Just binge watched The Witcher on Netflix. Enjoyed that!

If she liked that, and you can get Prime, point her in the direction of "Wheel of time". It's good, but ends too soon, ready for 2nd season, left hanging.

Has one so-called celeb, Rosamund Pike.

I have no interest in anything Tom Hanks has ever done and I have no idea why he is supposedly considered one of the greatest actors ever. Something about him just makes me want to slap him whatever role I see him in.

That's fair enough @Foxy as, if we all liked the same things it would be a dull world. I prefer a spot of James Stewart, Humphrey Bogart, John Wayne, Anthony Hopkins, Richard Burton, John Mills and all the other 'greats' of the past, I always wonder why so few of the 'clasics' are shown these days. I'd love to see more Cagney, Marx Brothers, Bogart etc. films.

Possibly because a few snowflakes might be offended, melt, and breakdown in to a blubbering mess, at any depiction of life that isn't all warm and cosy wrapped in cotton wool.

I watched "A Bridge Too Far" the other day on TV, and before the film started there was a warning saying it contained disturbing scenes that some people might find upsetting. FFS!! These films were shown when I was a kid, and no one ever got "upset". A lot of the great war movies were made and shown within the life times of those that served, who witnessed the horror first hand, or within a few years of the loss of a family member... but no one needed trigger or upset warnings before a film was shown up until very recently.
