I was going to nip out for a couple of hours today but thought I'd have a bit of 'tinker time' first. Usual fluids and pressures, tweaked the position of bars and footrests by maybe a mil, that sort of shite.
Even gave the old girl a wash as there was a bit of detritus from road filth.
Went over to see Tiff to have a nose over the Z650 they've just bought (Texas import, original '77 and a bloody peach) and when was the only time it rained today?
When I was at Tiff's and for my ride back.
Bike is filthier than when I took the cover off this morning. Oh well.

You know it, and I know it, but I'm pretty sure Duck included purple in his list of unacceptably gay colours a while back!

Was in the garage until nearly 11pm last night, cleaning the Ducati and Guzzi, cleaning and oiling the chain on the Ducati ready for an early morning ride, cos the weather forecast was for a dry sunny day. Well its not raining, but we have wet greasy looking roads and it's overcast Hopefully it will improve as the day progresses

It turned out nice again afterall I've been trying out a few Calimoto routes recently, they have been pretty good with a mixture of road types with an emphasis on twisty B roads. Todays was good but a fair portion of it was 30 and 40 mph, but the last stretch from Melton to Market Harborough makes up for it



Had a quick stop by the Husbands Bosworth Airfield to watch the gliders for a few mins...

Mmmmm...

Met up with @BAD LUCK DUCK at Yondermann cafe. Place was rammed.

Then we took a nice back lanes run down to Matlock Bath which was double rammed! Everyone making the most of this bit of Indian summer I guess. Still managed to get a coffee and non gay cake before departing. Apparently Duck had a better offer for the rest of the afternoon. Can't say I blame him!

Also check the bottom left bolt on the red anodised front sprocket cover. It looks like it's working its way out Duck?

I called my old triumph Frankenbike cos it was made up of so many other triumph bike parts...I loved that bike

It's a nice bright dry day now but it was cold, damp and unpleasant when I left for work
So I took the tin oversuit
