Pretty damn windy here which is very unusual in my sheltered wee glen but not a single snowflake and currenty eight degrees celsius.

8 Degrees. Positively tropical for your part of the world MM

I'm 58 fwiw and I'll pick my days carefully for taking a run out. I've commuted through winter in the past and received no medals, just bad joints

Likewise. My knees are shot. Not through biking, but crawling through deep damp tunnels jointing fibre optic cables.
This cold weather is a fucker on joints

Nothing happening bike wise today, too cold and sleety!
So decided to sort these little beauties. Cock n Hen from yesterdays roughing!


Gutted and ready for the oven.



Just need to sort out some suitable vino gargle to assist!

Just ordered a new rear lhs indicator, having slipped and caught the fitted one on the way past.... Not bad though, £18 all in for a new one. Daft really, the second hand ones are twice that price!

Bit peeved though, all the same.

I like them as there is no separate control unit, just the small button and light on the left grip. I installed the same on my Street Triple and Guzzi, but never had heated grips on any bike before that so I've no experience of alternatives to compare them to. However they do seem to get very warm on the highest setting, and me being a wimp in the cold weather I use them together with heated groves and that really does make for blissfully warm toasty hands

Nice - great thing about heated grips is that they let you wear thinner gloves for longer; I like the extra feel.

For me, today was 'get the GS ACF 50ed day' day so set off for a rescheduled from 10, noon appointment.

Left the old girl being done and had lunch in a local hostelry but made sure I wasn't late back once I saw it snowing through the window!

Bit of extra care on the way back, but no real worries.
