Went to Em's Day (Buell and Italian Motorcycles) at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre. Not as many bikes there this year (too hot? ), but still had a good ride there and back, plus its always enjoyable to look around the Aviation Heritage Centre, as in addition to the aircraft they also have some nice interesting displays and artefacts.

I left before they got the Lancaster "Just Jane" out and fired her up, but I've seen it running many times as I used to live only a few miles away.

Fitted the flat bars today then swapped them straight back. Not enough clearance between levers and fairing. Shame as the riding position was spot on

Bit pissed off as I thought it was going to be a cheap fix..

But I need mabe 1/2'' more rise for the levers to clear the fairing on full lock

Those Raask Jota bars are still listed, Sprint are not selling their jota bars anymore so I may well end up grudgingly paying the inflated fucking price the prick wants for them.
The design (and copies) of those bars is fucking fantastic. I really don't get why nobody makes them anymore.

(I do get it, it's because only me and maybe another five pricks in the entire universe like them )

Is the problem that the straight bars come into contact with the tank @chas ? I believe that the whole front end is shared with the Daytona so you could always find yourself a used daytona top yoke and clip-ons for the full on sport position.

no mate, the brake lever doesn't clear the noseconefairing thingum past 3/4 lock

Ah, got you, it didn't bleedin' occur to me that the wee fairing thingy on the Speed Triple is attached to the frame and not the forks.
