New rear tyre at last...tyre was almost worn through and looked very square..Could almost poke your fingertip through with very little effort...A lesson learned in tyres...

Go steady on that new rubber for a few miles, there will be silicone release which makes them a bit sketchy, either that or rough the surface up slightly with some rough sand paper or the like.
Well at least you got your money's worth out of the old one!

It's incredible that you were riding in snow and ice on that tyre @BAD LUCK DUCK you must have had sod all grip most of the time. I don't mind riding a baldy in the dry or even when it's a little wet but snow and ice no way in hell I would.
