Right shoulders packed in again 😒

Was removing the auto igniter pcb from a wall mounted gas heater, insert hand to access the 8mm nut holding it to the chassis, tilt head to get better view... Crack in neck/shoulder..... No feeling in right hand again. Simple as that. Lane huh?

Getting high on pain relief though, not all is lost.

Plus though, pcb is ready for repair once fault is identified, hopefully by the time it's sorted I will be ready to refit it!

The human body is a funny piece of kit. I can happily throw my weights around and lift more than my own body weight off the ground on a bar but I had agonising sciatica for four weeks after lifting a crate of shopping that probably weighed less than ten kilos and turning to carry it into the house.

Sorry to hear that @Big Sandy - mend quick!

The human body is a funny piece of kit.

And that is especially true as we get older - mine is getting more and more fucking hilarious; I'm less worried about injuring myself when actually training than I am bending down to pick something up off the floor or reaching over to grab something in the garage!

Sure, you know you're getting older when you creak and groan when you get up or sit down.

Thanks @Doc Strange trouble is every time I do these things they seem to take longer and longer to get back to normal....

LOL, my body is a funny bit of kit anyway, bits missing, bits fitted at funny angles, funny clicks and cracking noises.... I couldn't be a ninja, that's for sure! They'd hear me coming ages before I arrived....

Thing is, do something simple like turn round and something goes pop... Hurts like hell, but do you get sympathy? Do ya fook! Folk just laugh at you! Mind, karmas a bitch... My mechanic used to laugh at me hurpling around with swollen feet (arthritic gout) used to make cruel jibes about rich food, too much port etc. Guess who gets gout now then? Yeah... But be the bigger man, I didn't laugh at him. Well, not much.

I'm on allopurinol every day.... Regular blood tests. Trouble is the joints are damaged, so even though I don't actually get the attacks of gout the same, or as often, I still get pain from the joints.

I find the biggest help to be loads of water to drink, and cherries! Only trouble with large input of water is, well, large output of water! 🤣

Never had gout myself and hope I never will. My brother suffered from it and first started getting attacks of it in his late twenties and early thirties. Maybe it's because I have always been in the habit of drinking gallons of Tea, Coffee, milk and water every day. I always thought it was an illness of the overweight and elderly and yet my brother was the skinny one and I have always been the 'chunky' one.

On the phone on hold listening to bollox about stay away from the hospital if you have symptoms of diarrhoea and sickness...Five minutes later I get told I'm number 17 in the queue...Fuck that for a game of soldiers..Try and book in at the eye clinic again tomorrow...
Normally I will say Leicester royal infirmary are excellent in sorting appointments..However during and post covid no one seems to be interested in doing their job any more and its like they are deliberately pushing you away...
I next expect to be told because they have not seen me for a year I will have to start everything from the beginning...
I've got an ace card up my sleeve for that one😉🦆

It is scandalous, I really feel for anyone who is in need of treatment and is being fobbed off, especially as the NHS is set to soak up 40% of government spending (our fucking taxes) and like most public organisations seems to be more interested in diversity and woke political agenda than in peoples health and well-being

Took the car this morning but needed fuel. Two petrol stations and no E5 to be had. I hope it's a blip and not the shape of things to come. Although both my vehicles will technically run on E10 I'd rather not
I thought everywhere was having E10 now. It feels like everything happening lately is design to piss the every day British person off, or am I getting old and grumpy.

The shape of things to come. Tesco Rochdale all e10 "out of order"

When I was travelling around last week, I could get no E5 fuel around the south coast and south west, either there were no E5 pumps or the E5 pumps were out of order. Those out of order I'm hoping were due to demand for E5 after the E10 introduction  . I can still get E5 premium around Northamptonshire.
