What's Boiling Your Pi$$ Today?

I was a bit pissed off today when on the way down to take the Daytona in for MOT I was wearing my Shark 'Hoplite' Spartan helmet and I went to open the vent at the front over my mouth and the bloody thing came off and disappear in the distance behind me. Don't make much difference to how the helmet works or even how it looks but it's bloody annoying that it came away so easily.

Is the bike MOT’d and running well??

Even though I’m sure you looked a merry old soul, a Hoplite Spartan helmet seems a little extreme even in Jockistan:unsure:

Not that kind of Hoplite Spartan helmet @DD67 that one is cooler I think. The bike is ran well all the way down and back although there was a moment on the way back into the village where the engine seemed to get a bit bogged down and wouldn't respond to the throttle for a short period then it picked up and went back to behaving itself. I think that the map I put on it is not that nice and so, if the Triumph fellow sends me a 'special' one on the promised USB drive I will bung that on and seen how it goes also, because of the really horrible, fine rain I wasn't really giving her her head and I have been told that you really need to cane the Gen2 Daytona motors to keep them running at their best or, as I was told, 'You gotta boil the bastard!'

It wasn't me mate. It was @Old Nick.
But if you fancy an uber reliable upgrade. To a 2016 bike that behaves itself at all times.
And has more grunt than a Siberian pig. Gimme a bell cos mine needs a new home.
I tried (for the 3rd time) & the revamp work was enjoyable. But it needs to go to a new home. And I need to stop trying & admit defeat ☹

I still think if you enjoy redoing bikes that you should continue doing it.
I wish I had a bike to work on, I'm bored as fuck.

I did enjoy the revamp Ron & my uber fast mate Gaz has confirmed it rides absolutely superbly.
But it's not enjoyable for me mate. Taking a good bike & making it great. But not being able to enjoy it myself isn't fun.
Even if I was making hundreds of £'s in the process? It still stings that I can't ride it.

I see what you're saying about doing them up. But honestly, not being able to enjoy the end result is torture, not fun.

I think I understand what you are saying now.
That would be brutal mate.

I like riding but i'm not sure I enjoy it anymore. Yes, there is a difference.
There are so many reckless cunts on the road anymore and I have a helmet camera just in case I get taken out. So that there is evidence. LOL

No use to you as a Yank. But the basics are as follows...
2016.
13577 miles.
11 months MOT.
2 virtually brand new Dunlop Roadsmart tyres.
Genuine Suzuki engine bars.
Renthal handlebars.
Heated grips.
GR Moto race can with road legal baffle.
Spotless bodywork & engine paint.
Serviced 10 miles ago using Shell Ultimate 10w40 fully synthetic.
No visable wear to any of the brake discs.

According to my normally hyper critical & extremely fast mate. There's no way the front suspension is standard. He was saying it's got a set of top quality progressive springs fitted.
So I called the previous owner & apparently the forks have Ohlins springs fitted 😃

Price wise, I'll probably ask £3500 but I'd accept £3300.
It's one hell of a lot of immaculate, low mileage bike for that price.
With more grunt than a Siberian pig! 🙂

Apparently the GR Moto exhaust ups the already monster torque to 90flbs at 3700rpm.
Compare that with a modern sports bike. They'd be pulling 7000+rpm to achieve the same torque figure.
Hence my comment of more grunt than a Siberian pig 🙂

My apologies @DD67 and @Old Nick for my mix-up there. I was trying to do about twenty different things at one time and suffered a wee brain fart.

Afraid I'm going to stick with the Daytona though Jez yer Suzi is nice but I plan to have the smoothest running, sweetest Daytona on the road and learn all her wee tricks and foibles. I aim to dominate her and she will bloody like it! Besides I think she has to be one of the sexiest looking sportbikes ever drawn up. When she she was being MOT'ed there was a late nineties fireblade in and, with the two sitting side by side I just thought that, while the Blade is uber reliable Japanese Honda the Aston Green Daytona is on another level looks wise.

No worries, but if you decide that you fancy a bash at arm wrenching power. Coupled with Japanese reliability. You know where to find me Marty 😉
